Chateau Ollieux Romanis Corbieres Cuvee Prestige 2006

Chateau Ollieux Romanis Corbieres 2006 is divine.  Generous rich mouth with ripe berries that smooth into the slightest hint of vanilla oak.  Excellent finish, smooth silky tannins.  A new favourite for me.

Rosenblum cellars 2007 Syrah Vintner’s Cuvee

The Rosenblum Syrah Vintner’s Cuvee 2007 is deliciously smooth.  Deep purple in colour with full berry flavour and silky smooth tannins lead to a beautiful long finish.  Can you tell I loved this wine?

Church & State Wines Merlot 2006

“…a full bodied palate of fruit, spice, chocolate and a hint of pepper.  A true delight.”  (label on bottle of Church & State Wines Merlot 2006) So true.  Very good.  Smooth.  Soft tannins.  This wine is a true delight.  It shows that Canada can make an exceptional wine too.

Graceland Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

The Graceland Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 is yet another example of  the delicious wines coming from South Africa.  It is smooth, with flavours of blackberry, and well balanced with a nice long finish.  Another favourite of mine.

Domaine de la Presidente – Grands Classiques – Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2008

This is a white Cote du Rhone.  And it is delicious.   Buttery mouth feel with good acidity leading to a smooth finish.  The Domaine de la Presidente Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2008 will be my Christmas turkey wine this year.
