Glenfiddich 30 yr old scotch - “Sherry, fig and dark chocolate.” (website tasting notes) – sounds delicious – 2 bottles left

Digger’s Bluff Watchdog Cabernet Shiraz 2003 (Australia) – “I think this is the best wine I make. The beauty of wine, in general, is in its diversity and the fact that we all have different tastes. The Watch Dog suits mine, but it may have something to do with sneaking into our parent’s cellar, with the Lehmann boys, and sitting around drinking 10 year old Barossa Cabernet / Shiraz. It’s a style that suits the Barossa well. Of course, the one third Shiraz component is a factor, but Barossa Cabernet is outstanding, when handled correctly. This wine will always be sold with bottle age and has the complexity of different regions of oak, old and new. This has created a wonderful long palate and the integrity of the vineyards has created fantastic acid balance, which not only feels good in the mouth but ensures the wine will age well. Immediately, this wine smells rich, sweet and complex with a hint of vanilla (from the French Oak). It follows with a palate that does not disappoint the early promise. Smooth, soft tannins, that seem to go forever.” (winemaker)

Three Olives Dude vodka – This vodka tastes like Mountain Dew.

Carlsberg beer (Denmark)

Coopers Sparkling Ale (Australia) – this beer does contain sediment – gently rock from side to side to stir sediments before comsuming

Seagram’s Elquila Tequila cooler – this is more a back in stock item; however, it has been so long since it was on our shelves I’m calling it NEW!!

Glenfiddich 30 year old Scotch

week of August 26

Evil – Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 (Australia) – This is what Craig Pinhey (Wine Access taster) had to say about the 2006 vintage: “88 Points – The odd upside-down EVIL on the label makes a statement on the shelf. Blackish red, with a jammy berry fruit nose, EVIL has a rich meaty undertone, and its 15 per cent alcohol is very evident. It is smooth on the palate, full, and a bit hot, with blackberry jam flavours. Very Aussie, with smooth tannins and medium length. Food would have trouble standing up to this wine. It is better as a late nigh,t cool weather sipper. ”  I hear the 2007 is even better.

Old Pulteney 17 yr old scotch - “Full bodied, with hints of vanilla and floral notes in the background; a long-lasting memorable finish.”  website

Stoked vodka - This is a hemp vodka.
