We have some great new rums coming in this week from Juan Santos.  All Juan Santos rums are aged in American Oak Bourbon barrels and are exceptionally smooth and distinct.
Juan Santos Oro 5 year old  – An excellent mixer (mojitos, rum & coke…).  Oak and Bourbon add incredible dimension.  This rum can please many palates.  (88 points – Rum connection)
Juan Santos Gran 12 year old – Refined, aromatic and incredibly balanced.  Notes of toffee, toasted nut, sweet tobacco and spice. (90 points – Rum connection)
Juan Santos Antigua 21 year old – Exceptionally smooth Rum! Buttery caramel, spice and toasty oak.  Perfect served neat.  (94 points – Rum connection)

Another Rum we are bringing in that is known for its smoothness:  Flor de Cana Centenario 12 year old.  A semisweet rum rated 90-95 points and highly recommended by Wine Enthusiast in 2004.

And a new cooler:  Woody’s Sasparilla.  Tastes just like good old fashioned Root Beer.  What better beverage is there to go with your summer bbq burger?

On Friday, June 18 between 4 – 8 pm there will be an in-store tasting at CJ’s.  We will be sampling Juan Santos Cafe – Columbian coffee infused 7 yr old rum.  Caramel, spice and chocolate notes.  Best served on the rocks anytime, and exceptional for desserts, lattes or eggnog.  (89 points – Rum Connection)

We will be having an in-store tasting of Jack Daniel’s premixed with Cola, Lemonade, or Iced Tea on Friday June 11, 2010 from 4 until 8 pm.

Want to try a truly superb wine? Berries and black cherry with just a hint of oak round out this deliciously complex wine.  A smooth long finish that doesn’t have any of that tannin pucker.  This is the staff pick – a must for anyone that loves a great red wine. M. David Earthquake syrah 2005.

Giffard Premium Liqueurs  - Abricot du Roussillon – I have never tasted something that tastes so much like apricot.  Not even apricot jam.  An apricot, maybe… 
We also brought in Ginger of the Indies, Muroise du Val de Loire (a hybrid of blackberry and raspberry), and Vanille de Madagascar.  All of these are so full of flavour and if you click on Giffard Premium Liqueurs you can retrieve information on each liqueur and different recipes.  Seriously – SO GOOD!! A definite Staff pick by me and Cliff.

We didn’t stop there –
we tasted more and we brought in the Juan Santos columbian coffee infused 7 year old rum.  MMMMMmmmmm…. We will be having a tasting for this product as well on June 18, 4-8pm.
